  • This gentleman-like civil official stands on a yellow-green hollow platform. The kind of apparel he wears can be traced back to the Sui Dynasty. The height of cap worn differed according to rank. Generally, when meeting the emperor, civil officials carried a plate. This figure, however, does not do so, simply holding his hands together in front of his body. His head is not glazed. The rest of him is glazed in brown and green. The figure is well-proportioned, his facial expression soft and vivid.
