This zun was excavated in Hsincheng, Henan in 1923. Zun is a wine vessel and important in the ritual ceremony. This zun is shaped in a crouching tiger. The four feet are decorated with double ring patterns, and the upward ears with swirling clouds. The lid is on the back of the tiger, could be moved for refilling drinks. There is a rope of ring on the lid so it is connected with the tail-shape handle. The tiger’s mouth is open for pouring the wine. The simple shaping is austere but interestingly designed.
